Obituary of Alice Jeanne Wiegel

Alice Jeanne Crines Wiegel Arrived on May 6, 1934……..entered the Kingdom on December 3, 2024

Jeanne was a West Orange girl for life. The Wiegel family were members of Saint Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church in West Orange.She lived on Ridgeway Ave. with her love Richard ‘Zip” Wiegel and their children.

Jeanne worked at West Orange’s Colgate Field and the gang’s favorite shop, The Candy Cane, during her years at Immaculate Conception High School. While attending Montclair State University, she was not only Homecoming Queen, an accomplished scholar, but also the beauty with a constant smile. Jeanne always made time to be a great friend. After MSU she was a beloved teacher at Our Lady of Lourdes and Saint Cassian Elementary Schools.

Jeanne joins: her husband Rich, son, John, Mom and Dad, Mary and Joseph Crines, sister Jo Grather, brother Frank Crines, nephew Scott A. Brady, brother-in-law, Arthur Brady, mother and father-in-law, Mary and John Wiegel, brothers and sisters-in-law, Jack and Mary Parr Wiegel, Bill and Lucille Sheehan, and nephews, Tim Sheehan and Matthew Bolz.

Her son, Richard Wiegel, his love, Pam Martin, daughter, Mary Seton Wiegel O’Neil, son-in-law, Jack O’Neil, grandchildren Kylie Wiegel, Jack O’Neil, Kelly O’Neil Torres, son-in-law Anthony Torres, greatgrandies Marcus and Lucus Torres, brother-in-law Frank Grather, sister-in-law, Carol Crines, nieces and nephews, Rebecca Grather Doran, Brandon, Aidan, Kelly Jane Doran, Fran and Paula Grather, Michael, Paige, Joe and Shelby Grather, Parr, Chris, Allison Wiegel Jones, and Stacey Wiegel Aulbach, Denise, Steele, Phoenix, and Tristen Crines Wheeler, Michele and Marie Crines Weizenicker, Ed, Sheila, and Lauren Bolz, Megan Brady Mays, Kurt Mays, and sister, Mary Crines Brady, will miss her forever.

So many cousins, friends, and neighbors will treasure the memories of JEANNE.

Visitation on Monday, December 9, 2024 at Dangler Funeral Home 340 Main Street, West Orange, N J 07052 from 3:00 to 7:00. Funeral Mass on Tuesday at 11:00 at Saint Joseph Catholic Church 44 Benvenue Ave.West Orange, NJ 07052. Repast / luncheon at Ravello 138 Eagle Rock Ave. East Hanover, NJ 07936

In lieu of flowers donations in her name to The Salvation Army or Saint John’s Food Bank in Newark, NJ would be appreciated.
