Obituary of Brendan Patrick Tevlin

Brendan Patrick Tevlin, 19 Brendan Patrick Tevlin, 19, of Livingston passed away tragically on June 25, 2014. A Funeral Mass will be offered at 11:00AM on Tuesday July 1, 2014 at Saint Philomena's Church, 386 South Livingston Ave, Livingston. Internment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover. Visitation will be held on Monday June 30, 2014 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Seton Hall Prep auditorium. Arrangements are entrusted to The Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main Street, West Orange, NJ 07052. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Brendan's name to Seton Hall Prep, 120 Northfield Ave., West Orange, NJ 07052. Brendan was born and raised in Livingston. He had just completed his Freshman year at University of Richmond where he was a member of the Lacrosse Club. Brendan was a talented bagpiper for the Essex County Shillelagh Pipes & Drums. He was a 2013 graduate of Seton Hall Prep where he was a member of the National Honor Society, Lacrosse Team, Ambassador's Club, Knights of Setonia, President of the Gaelic Club, on the Student Council, Math Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society and he was the recipient of the Monsignor Tuohy Award for having achieved a GPA of over 4.0 for all four years at Seton Hall. Brendan enjoyed summers with family and friends in Lavallette where he was an avid surfer. Brendan was the beloved son of Michael and Allison Tevlin. Cherished grandson of Barbara and Neil McNulty of Livingston and Thomas and Carolyn Tevlin of Caldwell and Lavallette. He was a role model brother to Michaela, Brian and Sean. He is also survived by many loving Aunts, Uncles, cousins, extended family and countless dear friends.
