Obituary of Robert John Stevenson

Robert John Stevenson, 76 - Robert J. Stevenson "Bob" of Livingston died on Monday, October 11, 2010 at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston. Funeral Services will be held on Friday October 15, 2010 at The Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange 340 Main Street West Orange at 9:00 AM then to Saint Philomena's Church, 396 South Livingston Avenue in Livingston for the Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery Livingston. Visiting will be Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Letters of condolence may be posted at danglerfuneralhome.com. Mr. Stevenson was born in Orange and lived in West Orange before moving to Livingston 47 years ago. He was a purchasing manager for Glaxo Smith Kline Pharmaceuticals. Bob served in the Army from 1955 to1957. He was a member of the Society of Chemical Engineers, and past Grand Knight of Livingston Knights Of Columbus Council 3533, a member of the 4th degree Saint Isaac Jogues Assembly, Saint Raphael's Holy name man of the year, as well as Saint Raphael's Senior Citizens and Livingston AARP. Mr. Stevenson was the beloved husband of Connie Stevenson (nee Ruggiero). Devoted father of John and his wife Carol and Cathy Homberg and her husband Dirk. Loving brother of Margaret Stevenson. Cherished grandfather of Erin, Kevin, Shawn, Kyle, Kaitlin,Kelsey. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 1 Union Street Suite 301, Robbinsville, NJ 08691-4183.
