Stella Lenczyk, 86 - Stella (nee Zulinska) Lenczyk, of West Orange, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday August 2, 2011. She was a seamstress with Made Well Dress Corp, Orange, for 13 years before retiring in 1972. She was a volunteer for Our Lady of Lourdes School Library. Born and raised in Lwow, Poland, Stella was a prisoner of war in a labor camp in Germany during World War II. When the war ended, she helped to organize and operate a school for Polish girls orphaned by the war. The school was located in Barletta, Italy, in a facility provided by the Italian government. It was there that Stella met her future husband, Joseph, who pre-deceased her in 1992. He was also a prisoner of war then teaching at a similar school for orphaned Polish boys located nearby. The two moved to England and were married there before moving to New Jersey in 1950, where the raised their two children, son Andrew and daughter Susan. Stella is also survived by her daughter-in-law Karen Ullmann. Relatives and friends may call at the Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main Street, West Orange, NJ on Sunday from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. The funeral will be Monday from the funeral home at 8:30 a.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be offered in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, West Orange at 9:30 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make memorial donations to the Salvatorian Fathers, 23 Crestmont Road
