We are deeply saddened and overwhelmed about the loss of an amazing human being. We offer our condolences to Joseph, Joanne, Nicole, Steve, and Tommy's entire family.
There is no other Tommy, and there never will be. A heart of gold, and a pure soul left this world, and in his departure... a smile on the face of everyone he ever touched.
From Joel's to Devon Drive to the Brick house...Colonial and Hollywood Avenues..and every time we were on the ice.. We have laughed enough happy tears to fill an ocean, and we will remember you forever.
Thank you Tommy
We will always love you
Jason and Jarod Rothbart

To the family,
.Please accept my sincere condolences. I have also felt your pain, I have taken comfort knowing that God . . . will wipe all tears from their eyes, and there will be no more death, suffering, crying, or pain.”—Revelation 21:3, 4 Comfort from knowing that God feels for us when we suffer. Assurance that God does not cause our problems.—James 1:13
Sincerely,
Roberta

Tommy Columbo is and will always be one of my very best friends. So often, In the face of tragedy, people say things like:
'He was a great guy' or 'she was loved by all who knew her'.. But with Tom, those type of sentiments fall short. Tommy was different... he was better.. than the rest of us. He was real, genuine, loyal to the core... caring.. so caring. He was the sweetest most innocent kid I know. I can confidently say that I contributed to some of his happiest moments, and for that I am fortunate.
I am truly crushed that you left us brother. You will never be replaced, never forgotten, and will never be unloved.
Your brother,
Vinny

My dear friend Tommy,
I have no words to describe the intense sorrow which my family and I are feeling and I cannot possibly imagine the shock, sadness and heartache that has been thrust on yours. I am so sorry.
I consider to be blessed as I shared many many years of my life with Tommy as a close friend. As a result, my mind is filled with countless Tommy memories. Some remain elusive (party days) however, most I find are perfectly etched and can and often are recalled. These memories span many many years and most are funny, silly, scary, exhilarating, super exciting and many just downright hilarious. In short, most of these shared moments are the fondest and cherished memories of my life. From the great years of delivering pizzas for Joel's to driving all over NJ state for DePuy Orthopedics. We jumped out of a plane at 13,500 feet and was by my side to help in saving my own brothers life. We have rescued homeless animals together and shared classrooms in college. I’ll never forget the countless and spontaneous shore house adventures. When we would rollerblade for hours, at all hours of the night. Those days were the greatest. Remember we rollerbladed to WaWa and you slipped and fell on to your hand all while holding a Snapple (Tommy never complained and just wanted us all to keep rollerblading). That didn't stop us (well it slowed us down for about 3 hours as we forced Tommy to go the the ER to be put back together at what was at the time the Point Pleasant Hospital). What about all the times us guys would pile in the boat (despite it being the middle of the night). Was there an actual occurrence when we actually didn't get lost in the middle of the bay? My favorite part is when we would occasionally hit an island because of low visibility and Tommy would always scream "Land Ho." Which is when Tommy coined the phrase "Blacmalac because as we all jumped off the boat the island muck seemed to suck our feet in like quick sand. I can still hear Tommy scream "Watch out for the blacmalac" "LOOK OUT!” It was near that time period when Tommy would always, and out-of-the-blue yell “Healamonster!”
We must have had thousands of more hangings at 22 Devon. Tommy was never shy when it came to eating a plate of my mothers sauce and pasta. So many shared holidays and countless hours playing Nintendo 64 and PlayStation. Tommy and Vinny loved playing the character Rungo in Battle Arena Tosinden. I often find myself cherishing the memories of our cross country drive to Colorodo. Tommy, Vinny and myself on a mission driving my old red Toyota Pickup. We made it in record time, safe and sound but with many new memories created and plenty of laughs.
Some of my favorite memories were just relaxing in my basement watching South Park. Tommy had the best laugh. When he thought something was funny he made it known. As if his laugh originated from a higher power with a perfect high and low pitch mix which always caused myself to laugh out loud; both squirting tears. Even now as I cry with a box of tissues I laugh and smile inside with thoughts of Tommy. He had a heart of gold and could be trusted as a true friend should. Tommy would never disappoint you as I would learn later in life that other friends would. In my opinion, people do not come across such a terrific breed of a gentleman as was Tommy Columbo. He was a die hard animal lover.
Another funny memory regarding animals, It was fine to talk, discuss or view a movie wich included physical violence to humans. BUT God Forbid if the movie even suggest hurting an animal Tommy would go nuts off the wall!!!! I am the exact same and we loved each other for that.
I am proud to call him a friend of 25 plus years. He has touched my life in wonderful ways. Through me, he has and will continue to touch the lives of my children.
You were taken too soon and it feels so wrong on a visceral level that such a good, honest and wonderful man like you is gone.
With much much love, sympathy and admiration,
Ron Almagno

please find comfort in this Bible scripture, " Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice+ 29 and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, " John 5:28-29. This is God's promise to us.

Dear Tommy,
I am so lucky to be able to call you my older cousin. When I was younger I would sleep over and I remember joking around especially when the whole family was over to go swimming in your backyard. Despite the large age gap you always included us younger cousins in conversations whether it be at a holiday gathering or a family party. A few years back we began to discuss music on facebook, sending each other links and discussing the songs. You introduced me to some of the music I listen to today. Once again despite the large age gap we had something in common. I hope to be as generous, loving, and selfless as you one day. Love you forever and always, Tommy.
Rest Easy,
Morgan
