I lived across the street from my cousin Cathy and Lenny, and I always appreciated Lenny's dry wit . He had a new computer and was struggling with it, hitting the keys in frustration. My daughter Julia, who four at the time, walked over and pointed out what he was doing wrong. Lenny looked at her with a grin and said, "Great, now I have to take computer lessons from a four-year-old!" loved his ability to laugh at himself.
Lenny’s love for race cars was great except one Sunday morning, he started his loud car at 7 AM. I stuck my head out the window and yelled at him. My husband told me I looked like a crazy person. Lenny just laughed at my outburst but he did shut off the car.
Rest in peace, Lenny. You will be missed.

My condolence to Lenny's family, especially wife, Cathi and children, Jennifer, Len and Anthony. May he rest in peace. I knew Len as a teenager. He was a good friend. We used to hang out at Romeo's Pizzeria in Orange, across from the firehouse. Sometimes I'd meet him at his home on White St. (corner of N. Essex) and we'd depart for our day of fun. Lenny and I went to the Navy Recruiting Office on Central Ave., East Orange, together, with plans to join together. We took the recruitment test and both passed, but I decided not to enlist while Lenny signed up. When he came home on leave, he'd always stop at Romeo's and all the girls would flock around him as Len looked so handsome in uniform. I'm sad to know that Len has departed this life, but I hope for his joy in the next, with God's mercy.

Lenny you were always another brother to me. It's been a bad time for you, especially lately. Now you are with Bobby who probably welcomed you with what took you so long, let's go fishing or to the drags at Island Dragway or Englishtown in Heaven. Just joking around or doing stupid stuff up there like turning that stupid ride at Seaside upside down. It gives me peace with this. Seems like yesterday you were in Bobby's wedding and giving him a Bachelor Party! Christal just turned 40. I think you were like 12 when you became a part of the Reichert family. God speed, rest easy and prayers for Cathi and the entire Perna family. I am still in touch with Ro, Michael and Rich. Love you forever little bro. Lois and the entire Reichert Family. Tell Bobby, my Mom and Dad hi. ❤️

It has taken me several days to attempt to say what I feel about my brother-ln-law Lenny. Lenny ,in over the more than almost 50 years that I have known him became my 7th brother. With his death I now have lost 5 brothers. Lenny has always shared his love & support for me & my family in little & big ways. His dry wit & humor was renowned but always said with underlying love& respect. During the past 5 years during a difficult period of my life Lenny & his wife, my beloved sister Cathi & their daughter & sons have helped me so much. I am so grateful that my sister & her children were blessed with such a loving &wonderful husband & father . Rest in peace Lenny. You fought so hard & suffered much to stay with us.

There are too many memories to recall over 6 decades worth. You were always there if I needed something. I will miss the phone calls while you were on your way to work. And your visits to Savannah. Know I loved you Lenny and will miss you until we are together again.❤
