Obituary of Rosemarie Gaynor

Please share a memory of Rosemarie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Rosemarie Gaynor, born December 5, 1937, in Cleveland, Ohio, passed away peacefully at the age of 87, surrounded by the love and warmth of her family. Raised in Irvington, New Jersey, Rosemarie often reflected on her cherished childhood with her two brothers, John and Ronny Speller, and fondly recalled joyful visits to Olympic Park.

Rosemarie was the devoted wife of 57 years to the late Charles Joseph Gaynor of Orange, New Jersey. A long-time member of the Our Lady of the Valley congregation, her faith served as a guiding light throughout her life. She found immense joy in spending time with friends and family, watching classic black-and-white films, celebrating Christmas mornings with unmatched enthusiasm, basking in sunny days at the beach, and savoring a glass of wine. Known for her elegance and generosity, she will always be remembered as a beautiful wife, a stylish mother, and a thoughtful "Nanny," whose famous "money tree" brought smiles to many.

She is survived by her beloved daughters: Kathleen Mazurek and her husband Andrew of West Orange, NJ; Charlene Crann and her husband James of Panther Valley, NJ; Christine Gaynor and her wife Kelly Cole of Waltham, MA; and Maureen Miller and her husband Bill of Fairfield, NJ. Rosemarie was a proud grandmother to Andrew Mazurek (Lisa), Jeffrey Mazurek (Arielle), Erin Klecka (Brian), Patrick Charles Crann (Jessica), Margaret DiBisceglie (Tim), Emily Rose Miller (Kyle), Julia Miller (Harry), Luke Gaynor Miller, Cole Gaynor, Madeline Rose Gaynor, and Charles Joseph Gaynor. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren: James Klecka, Logan Crann, Molly Klecka, Kaylee Crann, Jeffrey Charles Mazurek and one soon to arrive!

Rosemarie’s life was rich with happiness and love. She now returns to her favorite place- at the side of her beloved Chauncey. May her memory bring comfort to all who loved her.

Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday December  27, 2024 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main St. in West Orange.
