Obituary of Joan Louise McCauley

Joan Louise McCauley passed away on December 5, 2024 in  Mountain Top, PA.

Funeral services will be held at Bethany Evangelical Free Church, 30 Ashwood Terrace West Orange, NJ on Thursday December 12, 2024 at 10:00am. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery 408 Orange Avenue Montclair, NJ. 

Visitation will be held at Dangler Funeral Home 340 Main Street West Orange, NJ on Tuesday December 10, 2024 from 4:00-8:00pm.

Joan was born in Orange, New Jersey to Mary and William Shephard in 1939.  She attended Orange High School. She worked at Seton Hall University in Student Housing and ROTC. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and loved her dogs and cats. She enjoyed driving around her community giving out treats to all of the dogs she came across.  Her neighbors always enjoyed chatting with her as she learned about the many different breeds in the community. 

Predeceased by her husband John McCauley, she is survived by her sons John Scott (Andrea) and William, and two granddaughters.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Awesome Animal Clinic 3129 Godfrey Ridge Dr, Stroudsburg, PA 18360. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Mountain Top Senior Living for the wonderful care they provided to Joan.
