Fredericka (Freddie) M. Diemer

Loving mother, cherished grandmother

Freddie Diemer, 85, born in Dobbs Ferry, NY moving to West Orange, NJ almost 80 years ago passed away peacefully on May 11, 2024 at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center surrounded by her family. She graduated from West Orange High School and went on to work at Kemper Insurance before leaving to raise her girls.  Later she worked as a sales associate at Sterns before retiring.  For the past 22 years she volunteered at The Holy Trinity Food Bank which she helped to start. Freddie loved to decorate her yard with flowers, reading and spending time with her grandsons, especially in LBI.

Freddie was predeceased by her parents Otto and Margaret Michell and sister Francine Severs.  Freddie is survived by her sister Marguerite Chase, daughters Dyanne Diemer Kashuba (Glen) and Lynda M. Diemer, grandsons Jackson and Lukas Kashuba, her niece Annie Chase and her former husband Edward J. Diemer, Jr. and many dear friends.

Visiting will be Wednesday, May 22 from 3-7pm at Dangler Funeral Home, 340 Main Street, West Orange, NJ. A mass will be held Thursday May23rd at 11:00am at Our Lady of Lourdes, 1 Eagle Rock Ave., West Orange. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your local food pantry.
