Obituary of Molly White Dowd

Molly Dowd, 43

In the afternoon of Monday, April 1st, 2024, Molly Dowd passed away from injuries sustained in a car accident. She was 43 years old.

Molly was born in Livingston, NJ, in 1981 to Dennis and Mary Dowd but spent the last 25 years living in New York City, working as an executive producer for various brands and advertising agencies. She married her husband, Michael Bird, in 2016 and had two children, Theo and Georgie. They resided in Brooklyn.

Nothing brought Molly greater joy than spending time with her family and friends. Embracing new relationships and nurturing existing ones, she made the most of life in the city, often exploring new restaurants, visiting parks and museums or attending shows and other cultural institutions. Molly was also an enthusiastic traveler, enjoying ski trips or visiting her favorite destination, Italy.

Molly is preceded in death by both paternal and maternal grandparents. She is survived by her husband, Michael; her two children, Theo and Georgie; her parents, Dennis and Mary; her brother David, her sister-in-law, Rajni; her brother Padraic and his partner Gina, as well as several nephews, a niece, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A private Memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady of The Valley Catholic Church in Orange, New Jersey.  A celebration of life will be held in Brooklyn at Huron Studios on Sunday, April 14th at 2 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in Molly’s name.
