So sad to hear of the passing of Ray. He was a tireless worker who took tremendous pride in what he did and the unique service he provided to the gas lamp communities. Ray was a genuinely kind and decent person and a good friend. My sincere condolences to his family.

Ray, my dear friend, you had such devotion to our Hialeah class mates. I am so sorry you were not able to attend the last reunion get together. You are special to me since I've known you since we were 4 or5. Love you forever.

RIP , My friend. Loved our conversations of our old neighborhood in Hialeah, and the concerts we’ve been to. Also the love of family and friends.

So very sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with your family during this sad and difficult time. My mom always liked him, and always said boy your tall whenever she saw him. He was a good man and a great dad. God bless you all and I pray you gain strength to get through this sad time.

Our condolences from the Rabold family! Ray worked at our parent’s roller rink in Hialeah as a teenager. He was the tallest guy we ever had as an employee. We called him “Stilts”. He was a friend and my parents spoke of him often as he kept in touch with them throughout their years. I believed he even visited them in 2017 or 2018 before they passed. Many stories about Ray at the rink. One I remember was, we had these light sockets about 8’ off the floor on the walls around the rink. My Mom always wanted specialized lights in them for the season or holiday we were in. Ray could change them out without using a ladder. I even think he asked my dad for extra pay for doing it. He also used to drink a soda called a suicide. Which was a mixture of the flavors in the fountain machine. I thought it tasted like crap. But one thing. No one ever stole his drink from the shelf in the skate room……..
Our prayers for the family!

I am so deeply sorry for your loss. Your husband, father, grandfather was a wonderful person who touched the lives of many. He was proud of all of you and shared those feelings with his friends and co-workers. May you find strength and solace in the memories you shared together. Take your favorite piece of him with you wherever you may go. He is and will be missed by all who knew him.
