George N. Chern, Jr., 73 Devoted Husband & Father, Beloved Pop Pop George N. Chern Jr., 73, of Clark passed away on Monday October 6, 2014. Funeral Services will be held on Friday October 10, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Krowicki Gorny Memorial Home, 211 Westfield Ave. in Clark. Followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM at Saint Agnes Church 332 Madison Hill Road in Clark. Cremation will be private. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4-8 PM. At Krowicki Gorny Memorial Home in Clark. Arrangements are by The Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main Street, West Orange, NJ 07052. George was born and raised in Newark, living in Nutley as a teenager and moving to Clark 45 years ago. He was an Architect working for Merck & Company in Whithouse Station. George was a member of the Architects Institute of America, a past member of the Clark Knights of Columbus and the Nutley Elks, and a member of the Saint Agnes Building Committee, and he was also a Pop Warner Football Coach in Clark. George was the beloved husband of 49 years of Jo Ann Chern (nee Trippodi).Devoted father of Christopher and his wife Mairead, Craig, and Fr. Jim Chern. Loving brother of the late Catherine Turano, Marlene Reisner, and Gary Chern. Loving nephew of Lee Ann Barlotta. Cherished Pop Pop of Elizabeth Kate, Grace Noelle, and Molly Claire. . Type Obit Here
