Tom and family, sorry to hear of the passing of your father. I always enjoyed our talks about the horses and trips to Monmouth Park, but especially the gin rummy games with Whitey, Pat, and Al. Rest in peace Chief. Geoff Burd.

Cousin Tom was my godfather and my favorite cousin. His personality was bigger than life and you knew you were in for laughs and a good time when you saw him. My father Walter Vincent always had a constant smile on his face whenever Tom was at Aunt Claire,Don, and Jess's house. I remember having great times with him at the race track. He used to help my father doing carpentry work when I was young and my father would bring me to the job sites. It was alway a great time working with him. He always livened up an event, ocassion, or party. He will be deeply missed.

With a broken heart, I offer my condolences to Tom and David and their families. We Vincents lost a good one who will be sorely missed. Tom Vincent was a larger than life man who stood out in a crowd, friendly and loud and quick to hug. No one was more proud to be a Vincent than Tom and we shared many hours talking about the family stories. I am posting this picture of two boys who are now together again, free of aches and infirmities. This is my dad Walter Vincent, Jr. with Tom. They were double cousins, their mothers being sisters and their fathers being brothers. But, they were really like siblings. They grew up near each other on Belle Terre Road and their lives were intertwined from birth. Dad was a few years older, and Tom was the tagalong who always wanted to do what his cousin was doing. Just one story, although there are so many. There was always a friendly rivalry between them and Tom was determined to best my dad so imagine how he felt left behind when Dad joined the Navy to go off to war. Tom, being too young, had to bide his time at home. But, as soon as he came of age, Tom, too joined the Navy. But, my dad always said, to get the better of Dad, Tom went in the Navy and came out a Marine! Tom won that one. These guys loved each other and I will take comfort in knowing they are having a reunion and arguing about who remembers the old days correctly. Farewell, Tom. We will carry you in our hearts always.
