Robert Edward Cooney, 70
Robert E. Cooney, 70, of West Orange passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2023.
Memorial Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 4, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main St. in West Orange.
Robert was born and raised in New York before moving to West Orange 37 years ago.
He worked for 32 years as doorman for 45 East End Avenue in New York.
Robert was the beloved husband of Lisa Cooney (nee Strombled) , devoted father of Robert Cooney Jr. and his wife Jessica Forst Cooney. Loving brother of Nora Sinatra and her husband Larry, Kenneth Cooney, Marion DeLong, Margaret Poplis, Neil Preston, and Gary Preston. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
