Obituary of Evelyn Gibbons

Evelyn (nee Corrigan) Gibbons passed away on Thursday August 21, 2014 at her home. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday August 26, 2014 at The Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main Street in West Orange at 9:00 AM. Then to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1 Eagle Rock Avenue in West Orange for the Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton, PA. Visitation will be held on Monday August 25 from 4 – 8 PM. Letters of condolence may be posted at danglerfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Evelyn's memory to St. Jude Children Research Hospital (www.stjude.org) Mrs. Gibbons was born in Scranton, PA and had lived in West Orange for 54 years. She retired last year as the mail room supervisor after 41 years of service to St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston. She is predeceased by her husband, Joseph E. Gibbons; sisters Alice Gardner and Jeanne Miles. She is survived by her daughters Mary Kay Dente & her husband Joseph and Colleen Barry & her husband Johnny; brother-in-law Byron Miles; grandchildren James Barry & his wife Laura, Meghan Barry-Morales & her husband David and Christian Dente & his wife Erika; great-grandchildren Ava Barry and Daniel Morales.
