Dan the Man! I have had the privilege of growing up with Mr. Zimmerman, since elementary school and all the way until high school. I'm no longer on social media so we lost contact. A lot of people change over the years, Dan was not one of those people. From the moment I met him when we were children, he always had a heart of gold. Honestly the most down to earth and generous man I have ever met. His personality was larger than life and I am honored to say I knew him. My sincere and deepest condolences to his wife & family. Heaven definitely gained a angel and he is up there with his parents and making beautiful music. Rest in Paradise my friend, say hi to our buddies Pat Washington & Luis Cornejo for me.

Dan worked for me at Schumacher Chevy, but I remember him best this way: doing what he loved most - playing in the band. I saw him a couple of times and it was great to see him perform. My only regret is not seeing him more often. My sympathies to his wife, Diana, as well as the rest of his family and friends. As Billy Joel sang: "Only the good die young". Rest well, Dan, knowing you were loved.

My condolences to Diana and the Zimmerman family. I worked with Daniel at Schumacher Cheverlot. He was always kind and a good coworker. He will be greatly missed. RIP Daniel. Amy Lopez

I met Dan in 2003, my sophomore year of Clifton High. We were in a few bands over the years and he’s the one that got me to pick up the bass. Although he didn’t teach me how to play music, he fueled my passion for music. We played many shows at Bloomfield Cafe & Stage, shows in PA, and we always went out to eat after a show. We had a million laughs every single day. It was always Dan, me, and Jason Taylor. Between 2003 and 2009 when we were playing out together, we experienced more in those years than people do their whole lives. Dan was a great friend, he touched lots of lives through his music and positive attitude. He always said during practice “let’s take a five” and we’d joke around and he’d always be like “Well that’s the least of your problems” jokingly. So many great stories I could tell, a novel’s worth. Dan has inspired so much and every song I ever write, Dan will be within me, he’ll always be there. He’s not gone, he’s watching over us rockers. Love you Dan, rest easy brother.
