Kevin William Rooney, 59 Kevin William Rooney, 59, of Kearny, formerly of West Orange passed away suddenly on Saturday June 21, 2014. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday June 26, 2014 at The Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main Street in West Orange at 8:30AM. Then to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1 Eagle Rock Ave. for the Funeral Mass at 9:30 AM. Interment will be private. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Kevin's name to American Heart Association 1 Union Street Suite 301, Robbinsville, NJ 08691-4183 Kevin was born in Orange and was raised and lived in West Orange before moving to Kearny 9 years ago. He was a Tech-Opt Manager working for Comcast, (Suburban Cable), for 32 years. Kevin was an Avid Jets & Yankee fan. Kevin was the beloved husband of 27 years of Diane Rooney (nee Zalewski), together for 37 years. Devoted son of Therese Rooney and the late William Rooney. Loving brother of Terri Mathikolonis and her husband Aris, and Brian Rooney. Cherished Uncle and loved by Tiffani, Andreas and Alexandra. Loving brother-in-law of Catherine Fischer and the late Karlheinz Fischer. He is also survived by his Aunt Mary Ellen Smith, his Uncle William Jablonski, and many friends who he cherished.
