James Joseph Feula - James J. Feula of Seaford, Delaware, formerly of West Orange died on Friday December 12, 2008 at Atlantic Shores Nursing Home in Milsboro, Delaware.Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday - December 17, 2008 at The Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange 340 Main Street at 10:00 AM then to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1 Eagle Rock Avenue, West Orange for the Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover. Visiting will be Tuesday- December 16 from 3-7 PM. Letters of condolence may be posted at danglerfuneralhome.com. Mr. Feula was born in Orange and raised in West Orange, living in Rhode Island before retiring to Virginia in 1978. He was the Offensive Line Coach for the Crimson Varsity Football team at Harvard University. He also coached at the University of Virginia, the University of Rhode Island and at his at his alma mater, George Washington University, where he received all-conference recognition for his athletic achievements. Mr. Feula had a distinguished military career, serving in the United States Army as 2nd Lieutenant in the European theatre from 1942 to 1945. After completing his education at George Washington University, Mr. Feula was recalled into the service where he served as 1st Lieutenant during the Korean War form 1952 to 1953 and also was head coach of the Fort Dix football team in New Jersey. Mr. Feula was granted several Patents for football practice apparatus he designed. Mr. Feula was the beloved companion for 30 years of Miss Elizabeth Handy, loving brother-in-law of Geraldine Feula, cherished Uncle of Nancy Gallagher and Cynthia Fulton Taren and loving brother of the late Louis Fulton and Dr. Anthony Feula, DDS.
