Maria Isabel Pelalas,90

Maria Isabel Pelalas (nee Bou),90, of West Orange Township passed away on Thursday, August 26, 2021 surrounded by her loving family at her home.   

Visiting will be held on Sunday August 29, 2021 from 2 to 6 PM at The Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main Street in West Orange Township. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Maria’s name to; VA NJ Healthcare System, 385 Tremont Ave., Build. 1, 1st Fl., East Orange, NJ 07018.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 30, 2021 at 10:30 AM at The Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange. Entombment will follow at Restland Memorial Park in East Hanover.

Maria was born in Detroit, raised in Puerto Rico and lived in Brooklyn before moving to the Oranges in 1966. She was a registered Occupational Therapist working for the Veterans Administration in Newark NJ.

Maria was the beloved wife of 55 years to Apollo Pelalas. Devoted mother of Paul Pelalas, and Joanne Byrne and her husband Patrick. Cherished grandmother of Natalie and Kevin.

All persons entering the building will be required to wear masks or face coverings.
