Catherine Ellen Prior, 78

Catherine Ellen Prior (nee O’Gara) 78, of Bethlehem PA , formerly of West Orange passed away on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 surrounded by her loving family.       

Visiting will be held on Sunday November 15, 2020 from 3 to 7 PM at The Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main St., West Orange.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m.  Monday November 16, 2020 at Saint John’s Church, 94 Ridge Street in Orange NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Catherine’s name to; Alzheimer’s Association Greater New Jersey Chapter 400 Morris Ave. Suite 251 Denville, NJ 07834-1365. Letters of condolence may be posted at danglerfuneralhome.com.

Catherine was born and raised in Orange, and lived in West Orange, raising and caring for her family before recently moving to Bethlehem PA.

Catherine was the beloved wife of 60 years to James “Jim” Prior, devoted mother of Thomas, James, John and his wife Katrina, Harold, Kevin and his wife Alma, Brian, and Sally Ann. Loving sister of Brian and Thomas O’Gara, and the late John, and Peter O’Gara and Sally Kelleher. . Cherished grandmother of 10, great grandmother of 2, she is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

During the COVID 19 pandemic, all persons entering the Funeral Home will be required to wear a face mask or face covering throughout their stay. Likewise, all social distancing rules must be adhered to. Gathering together in groups should not happen. A continued flow throughout the facility will aid in keeping all of us safe, with everyone having an opportunity to pay their respects.
