Eugene Joseph Cronin, 78

Eugene Joseph Cronin, 78, of West Orange passed away on Thursday July 9, 2020.      

Visiting will be held on Sunday July 12, 2020 from 3 to 7 PM at The Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main St., West Orange.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m.  Monday July 13, 2020 at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1 Eagle Rock Ave. in West Orange. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gene’s name to; American Cancer Society, 906 South Springfield Ave., Springfield, NJ 07081.

Gene was born in Montclair, raised in Montclair and East Orange before moving to West Orange 40 years ago. He was the Store Manager working at Stop & Shop in Madison. Gene was a member of Local 1245.

Gene was the beloved husband of 58 years to Patricia Cronin (nee DeNunzio). Devoted father of Pamela Collinson and her husband Patrick, Theresa Alverio, Sharon Murphy and her husband Joseph, Stephen, Brian and his wife Robyn, and Susan McFarland and her husband John. Cherished grandfather of Andrew, Ian, Ryan, Matthew, Stephanie, Victoria, Samantha, and Patrick. He is also survived by the late Kristin, and Darrin.
