Obituary of Francis Joseph Moran

Francis Joseph Moran Sr., 90 - Francis J. Moran Sr. of West Orange passed away on Tuesday February 15, 2011 at his home. Funeral Services will be held on Friday February 18, 2011 at The Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main Street, West Orange at 9:00 AM then to Our Lady of the Valley Church , 510 Valley Road in Orange for the Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover. Visisting will be Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers doantions may be made to Our Lady of the Valley Church. Mr. Moran was boen in East Orange and raised in West Orange, he worked for Pabst Blue Ribbon for 41 years before retiring in 1983. Mr. Moran served in the United States Army from 1942 to 1945, he was awarded the American Theater, Good Conduct and the Victory Medal. He was a Life Member and Past Treasurer of the Orange, Knights of Columbus, head Usher at Our Lady of the Valley Church and member of The Holy Name Society, Cub Master of Pack #13, Assr. Scout Master of Troop #13 at Our Lady of the Valley, and a member of The Giblin Association and Rahway VFW Post #5. Mr. Moran was the beloved husband of the late Lillian Moran (nee O'Connell. Devoted fahter of Francis Jr. and jis wife Mariann, Thomas, Brian and his wife Lenore. Loving brother of the late Henry, JOhn and Arthur. Cherished grandfather of Frank III, Shannon and Kelly. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
