Obituary of Muriel Ann Browne

Muriel Ann Browne - Muriel Ann Browne (nee O'Connor) OF West Orange and Sea Isle City died on Sunday June 21, 2009 at her home in West Orange. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday June 25, 2009 at The Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange 340 Main Street at 8:30 AM then to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1 Eagle Rock Ave. in West Orange for the Funeral Mass at 9:30 AM. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover. Visiting will be Wednesday 4-8 PM. Letters of condolence may be posted at danglerfuneralhome.com. Mrs. Browne was born in Orange and raised in East Orange before moving to West Orange 58 years ago. She was an Agent working for the State of New Jersey Motor Vehicle starting in the mid 50's at multiple agencies including West Orange, South Orange, East Orange, Sea Isle City, and in Montclair. Eventually Mrs. Browne became the Agent in Charge of the Montclair office in 1980, retiring in 1988 after 40 years. Mrs. Browne was the beloved wife of the late Richard C. Browne. Devoted mother of Richard F. and his wife Donna, Kimberley Smeraldo and her husband Peter F. Jr. Loving sister of Claire Cosgrove and the late Doris O'Connor and Helen Lee. Cherished grandmother of Ashley, Richard, Peter, and Connor, she is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
