Obituary of Robert James Dunderman

Cynthia & Robert Dunderman

 

Cynthia Joyce Dunderman (nee Rutkowski), 75 & Robert James Dunderman,78, of East Hanover passed away on Friday, January 4, 2019 together at their home in a tragic house fire.    

Visiting will be held on Monday, January 14, 2019 at The Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main St. in West Orange from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. 

A Funeral Mass will be offered on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 1360 Pleasant Valley Way in West Orange at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow at Holy Name Cemetery in Jersey City.   

Cynthia was born and raised in Passaic. She was a home maker, prior to that she was a teacher in the Passaic School System. Cynthia received her Master’s at Columbia University in Speech & Theater Arts. She was the Past President Morris County Support Group, Support Group Leader, Lupus Foundation of America, NJ Chapter. Loving sister of Kennard J. Rutkowski, Sandra A. Rutkowski, and the late Lance R. Rutkowski.

 Robert was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. He was a Retired East Hanover Postman, prior to that he was the manager of several Wetson’s Restaurants in the New Jersey, New York area.  Robert was a 3rd Degree member of the East Hanover Knights of Columbus Council #6504, and a 4th Degree member of Assembly 673 Msgr. John J. Sheerin, and the Friendly Sons of St Patrick of Morris County. Loving brother of Walter Dunderman, Catherine Stalter, and the late John Dunderman.

Cynthia and Robert were the devoted parents of Amy Englert, and the late Mary and Julie A. Dunderman. Cherished grandparents of Brielle, and Ryan. They are also survived by many nieces and nephews.
