Robert "Bob" John O'Hare, 68 - Robert "Bob" John O'Hare,68, of West Orange, passed away on Friday January 17, 2014 during a brief illness, with his sister Denise and brother-in-law Raymond at his side. Visiting will take place on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday January 21, 2014 at 9:00 AM at The Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main Street West Orange. Then to Our Lady of the Valley Church, 510 Valley Road in Orange for the Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Bobs name to; Paralyzed Veterans of America, 20 Washington Place, Newark, NJ 07102. Born in March 29, 1945, Bob attended Our Lady of the Valley School. Upon graduation he entered the United States Army and served in Vietnam. While home on leave he sustained life threating injuries as a passenger in a car accident and lived as a quadriplegic for 45 years. A strong disciplined and independent man, he learned to drive a car with his hands and worked at the County Courts building in Newark where he served as an Information Advisor. Bob was admired and respected by all the employees of the court house. He was well known for his dapper appearance, quick wit and his love of the Giants and fishing. Bob was the beloved brother of Neil O'Hare, Peter O'Hare and is wife Karen, Patti Lewis, Denise Sarinelli and her husband Ray, and the late Maureen Flynn. He was especially close with his nieces Jessica, Lisa, nephew Ray and cherished Uncle of Brian, Tara, Lauren, Jackie, Lizzie, Katie, Becca, Daniel, Amy, Meghan and the late Abbey. He is also survived by many great- nieces and great- nephews.
