Josephine Marateo - Josephine Marateo, 88 Josephine Marateo (nee Lombardini) of West Orange died on Thursday April 23, 2009 at her home in West Orange. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday April 28, 2009 at The Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange 340 Main Street at 9:00 AM then to Saint John's Church, Ridge Street in Orange for the Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover. Visiting will be Monday 4-8 PM. Letters of condolence may be posted at danglerfuneralhome.com. Mrs. Marateo was born and raised in Newark and lived in Orange for 50 years before moving to West Orange 6 years ago. She was the Office Manager for Linens & Things before retiring in 1992, prior to that she worked for Korvette's in West Orange. Mrs. Marateo was a devoted parishioner, daily communicant, member of The Rosary Altar Society and Eucharistic Adoration Chapel of St. John's Church in Orange. Mrs. Marateo was the beloved wife of the late Ernest Marateo Sr. Devoted mother of Linda Layton, Ernest Marateo Jr. and his wife Marion, and the late Jeanne Calabrese. Mother-in-law of Anthony Calabrese. Loving sister of Americo Lombardino and the late Marie Racine, Phyllis Pepe, Ida Lombardini, John T. Lombardini Sr. and Thomas Lombardini. Cherished grandmother of David, Melissa, Ernest III, and Sean.
