Marie loved helping others and cooking. Many times the two went together. She prepared meals for all, including cooking for church functions, making sandwiches for the blind, and hosting parties for anyone who asked her. Marie's devotion to her faith and church kept her busy. A 40 year member of the St. John Rosary Altar Society, Marie spent 25 of those years as President as well as filling every other office in service to this organization. In recognition of her hard work and devotion, Marie was awarded the Jubilee Medal Pro Meritis from the Archdiocese of Newark.
