Obituary of Alice Marlene Hoffman

Alice Marlene Hoffman, 68 - Alice Marlene Hoffman,(nee Mayer), 68, of West Orange passed away suddenly on Friday October 11, 2013. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday October 15, 2013 at The Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main Street, West Orange at 8:30 PM. Visiting will be Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM with the service at 8:30 PM. Interment will take place on Wednesday October 16, 2013 , those wishing to attend can meet at the funeral home at 10:00 AM and follow the procession to Shoreland Memorial Gardens, Route 35 North, Hazlet, NJ. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Family of Alice Hoffman, c/o Michele Bloschock, 26 William Street, West Orange, NJ 07052. Alice was born in Livingston and lived in Matawan and Pennsylvania before moving to West Orange 35 years ago. She was the Coordinator for Holy Trinity Food Pantry, prior to that she was a Sunday School Teacher. She was a member of the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, and was a volunteer at the Holy Trinity Soup Kitchen and Thrift Shop. Alice was the beloved wife of the late William Henry Hoffman. Devoted mother of Marlene Hoffman, Michele Bloschock and her husband George. Loving sister of Freida Finnegan, Helen Emerson, Anna Mayer, Karen Emerson, Cacy Wells, Leroy "Skip" Mailoa, and the late Margaret Nusbaum and Doreen Mailoa. Cherished grandmother of George, Eric and James.
