Paul D. "Buddy" Smith, Jr. - Paul D. "Buddy" Smith, Jr., 68 of West Orange passed away on Friday August 2, 2013 Visitation at The Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main Street, West Orange will be Sunday from 6:00 to 9:00 PM. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers please make memorial donations to Grace Hospice (www.gracehcs.com) Paul was born in Orange, NJ and was a lifelong resident of West Orange. He was a Grounds Keeper for the West Orange Board of Education for 18 years before retiring in 2007. Prior to that he was a landscaper with Colavito Landscaping of West Orange for 32 years. Paul was the beloved husband of 44 years to Shirley (nee D'Aries) Smith; devoted father of Darlene Verducci and Melinda Smith; dear brother of Donald D. Smith, and the late Margorie Colavito, Lillian Smith and Patrick Smith. Cherished grandfather of Micahel and Lawrence Verducci, Luther and Victoria Thomas.
