Obituary of Harriet Groves

Harriet Groves, 93 - Harriet Groves (nee O'Connor) 93, of Barnegat, NJ, born January 17, 1920 was called home to the Lord on March 31, 2013. Visitation will be on Thursday, April 4, 2013 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm at The Dangler Funeral Home, 340 Main Street, West Orange . Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, April 5, at St. Rose of Lima Church, 312 Ridgedale Avenue, East Hanover at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover. Harriet was born and raised in West Orange. In her younger years, she enjoyed dancing, but her favorite moments were spent watching her grandchildren playing sports and spending time with her family. Later in life, she moved to East Hanover, then to Barnegat, where she spent her remaining years. Her kindness, generosity and sense of humor will be missed by all. For 68 years, she was the loving wife of the late Frank Groves, a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her son, Frank, his wife Micci, daughters, Diane Miller, her husband Ron, Sharon Sitnik, her husband Al, 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by sons, Robert and Timothy, and grandson, Edward. Letters of condolence may be posted at danglerfuneralhome.com.
