Obituary of Joseph Palmieri

Joseph "Joe" Palmieri Jr., 84 - Joseph "Joe" David Palmieri Jr., 84 of West Orange, NJ, passed away on Friday March 8, 2013, at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday March 12, 2013 at 8:30 AM at The Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main Street, West Orange then to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1 Eagle Rock Avenue in West Orange for the Funeral Mass At 9:30 AM. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover. Visiting will be Monday from 4 to 8 PM. Letters of condolence may be posted at danglerfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Joe's name to Memorial and Honor Program-F St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105-1905 Joe was born and raised in Orange moving to West Orange 60 years ago. He worked as a Freight Expeditor for Elmco Distributors in Parsippany. Joe was also a Contemporary Jazz Musician and Entertainer. He was a member of the Musicians Local #16 out of Newark. Mr. Palmieri was the beloved husband of 62 years of Rosemarie Palmieri (nee Marzano). Devoted father of Deborah Weber and her husband Joseph, Joseph Palmieri, Peggy Devaney and her husband Martin. Loving brother of Norma Borrello, Richard Palmieri and Lorraine Angiuoli. Cherished grandfather of Kristie Lynn and her husband Nate, Joseph, Steven, Danielle, Nicole, Anthony, and Michael. Great-grandfather of Elise Rose. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
