William R. "Bill" Ricci Obituary

William R. "Bill" Ricci, 85 - William R. "Bill" Ricci, 85 of West Orange, passed away on Thursday February 7, 2013 at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday February 14, 2013 at The Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main Street, West Orange at 8:00 AM. Then to Holy Spirit Church, 971 Suburban Road in Union for the Funeral Mass at 9:30 AM. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield. Visiting will be Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Mr. Ricci was born and raised in Orange, moving to West Orange 71 years ago. He was a Letter Press Printer working for Prudential in Newark, closing out his work career at the West Orange Board of Education. Bill's passion was his family, home & car and an avid Civil War & Revolutionary War enthusiast. Mr. Ricci proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II on the USS Juneau II. He was awarded the Victory Medal and the American Theatre Medal. Bill was the beloved husband of 56 years of Dora Ricci (nee Cavo). Devoted father of Christine Scioscia and her husband Joel, and Dorothy Butler and her husband Eddie. Cherished grandfather of Kristen. Loving brother of Thomas, Marie Conery, Phyllis Otteau, Gerrie, and the late Lynn Wilson, Bobbie Haines, Josephine Falconer, Estelle Weber and Jack.
