Michael James O'Hara - Michael James O'Hara passed away at his home in West Orange on Thursday, February 12, 2009 surrounded by his loving family. A lifelong resident of West Orange, Mr. O'Hara graduated form Our Lady of Lourdes Grammar School, West Orange and Our Lady of the Valley High School Orange NJ. He also attended Bloomfield Technical School and became a Licensed Electrical Contractor. He and his brother Ed O'Hara also a Licensed Electrical Contractor owned and operated E & M O'Hara Electrical Contractors in West Orange since 1963. Mr. O'Hara who was very active in the West Orange Community became a member of the West Orange Lions Club in 1962 and was President of that Club in 1973-74. He was a member of the West Orange Chamber of Commerce and was their President in 1987-88. He was a Trustee of the West Orange Public Library form 1980 to 1985. He also served as President of the West Orange Community House. He was a member of the Frank O'Hara Association and the West Orange St. Patrick's Day Parade Committee and was honored as Grand Marshal of the 1981 West Orange St. Patrick's Day Parade. An avid golfer, Mr. O'Hara was a longtime member of Rock Spring Country Club and played in several World Father-Son Invitational Tournaments at Waterville Golf Links in Ireland with his son Michael. He also served in the National Guard 50th Armored Division. Mr. O'Hara was married in Dublin, Ireland in 1963 to his beloved wife, Margaret Guiney who survives him. He is also survived by three daughters, Maureen and Kathleen O'Hara and Stephanie Gallo and her husband Michael, all of West Orange and his son Michael and his wife Melanie O'Ree who live in London, England. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Stephen, Michael and Annemarie Gallo and Maggie Mae O'Hara. He was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Louise O'Hara and two brothers Frank and Patrick. He is survived by three sisters, Mary Roth (Edward) and Ann O'Neill (Thomas) both of West Orange and Kathleen Kenah (Richard) of Wall Township and sister-in-law Lydia O'Hara. He is also survived by three brothers, Edward and his wife Jacqueline of Verona, Joseph of Wall Township and Thomas and his wife Patricia of McLean Virginia.
