Obituary of Anna Mitola

Anna "Ann" Mitola,79 - Anna "Ann" Mitola (nee DeSantis), 79, of West Orange passed away on Tuesday October 9, 2012 at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston. Funeral Services will be held on Monday October 15, 2012 at The Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main Street, West Orange at 9:00 AM then to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church,103 South Center Street in Orange for the Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM. Interment will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover. Visiting will be Sunday 3 - 7 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Ann's name to the National Parkinson Foundation, 1501 N.W. 9th Avenue, Miami, FL 33136-1494. Ann was born and raised in Orange before moving to West Orange 12 years ago. She was an investigator for the Victims of Violent Crimes for the State of New Jersey in Newark for 25 years. She was the Democratic Chairperson in Orange for 25 years, was a Commissioner with the Orange Housing Authority and was active in Saint John's Parish. Ann was the beloved wife of the late Domenic "Dickie" Mitola. Devoted mother of Nick and Rich and his wife Theresa. Loving sister of Theresa "Mitzi" DePalma. Cherished grandmother of Nicole, Frankie, Andrea, Sara, Danielle and Gregory.
