Obituary of Edward Joseph Roth

Edward Joseph Roth, 78 - Edward Joseph Roth of West Orange passed away on Monday July 2, 2012 surround by his loving family at home. Funeral Services will be held on Friday July 6, 2012 at The Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main Street, West Orange at 8:30 AM then to Our Lady of Lourdes Church 1 Eagle Rock Avenue West Orange for the Funeral Mass at 9:30 AM. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum. Visiting will be Thursday from 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society, 906 Springfield Ave., Springfield, NJ 07081, Mr. Roth was born and raised in Jersey City moving to West Orange 53 years ago. Mr. Roth proudly served in the United States Navy from 1952 to 1956 during the Korean War. He worked as a Machine Operator for Western Electric in Kearny, retiring in 1984. He then worked for the West Orange Board of Education as Custodian for 10 years. He was a member of the Frank O'Hara Association and the West Orange Town Softball League. He was an avid fan of the New York Mets. Mr. Roth was the beloved husband of 53 years of Mary "O'Hara" Roth. Loving son of the late Edward and Olive Roth. Devoted father of Mary Martin and her husband Thomas, Patty Ann Madden and her husband John, Eileen Minogue and her husband Michael, Sheila Parisi and her husband Robert and Christine Mulligan and her husband Brian. Loving brother of his late twin sister Eleanor Delaney. Cherished grandfather of Tommy, Justin, Matthew, Dylan, Michael, Annmarie, Ryan, Declan, Kelly, Robert, Annie, Kathleen and Patrick.
