KatherineT. "Kate" Del Plato - Katherine "Kate" Del Plato of West Orange passed away on May 9, 2012 at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday May 15, 2012 at The Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main Street, West Orange at 10:00 AM then to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1 Eagle Rock Ave., in West Orange for the Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover. Visiting will be Monday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1 Eagle Rock Ave., West Orange NJ, 07052. Mrs. Del Plato was born and raised in South Orange, moving to West Orange 56 years ago. She worked for NJ Bell in South Orange and Millburn for several years prior to raising her family. Katherine was a member of the Giblin Association, the CANA and Rosary Altar Society of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in West Orange. She attended Our Lady of Sorrows Grammar School in South Orange and graduated from Our Lady of the Valley High School in Orange. Mrs. Del Plato was the beloved wife of the late Lawrence Del Plato. Devoted mother of Michael, Patti Donoghue, Mary Baum, and Lawrence Jr. Lovng sister of James Connolly. Cherished Grandmother of Ricky, Julia, Patrick, Michael and Mary. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many close friends..
