John Villone, 88 - John M. Villone of Orange passed away on Sunday March 5, 2012 at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday March 8, 2012 at The Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main Street, West Orange at 9:00 AM then to Saint John's Church, Ridge Street in Orange for the Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover. Visiting will be Wednesday 4 - 8 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his name to Saint John's Soup Kitchen, 22 Mulberry Street, Newark, NJ 07102. Mr. Villone was born and raised in Newark moving to Orange 64 years ago. He was a Tool & Die Maker for 40 years. He was the Grand Commander of Alhambra Caravan #7 El Zagel, a member of the Orange Knights of Columbus #235, The CYO, the American Legion Orange Post and an Usher at Saint John's Church in Orange. Mr. Villone proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II. Mr. Villone was the beloved husband of the late Helen Villone (nee Zaverl) Devoted father of Katherine Costello and her husband Richard, Maryjo Bush and her husband Brian. He was the youngest of 13 siblings, all deceased. Cherished grandfather of Richard, Stacie, Anthony, Matthew, Robert and Marissa. Loving great-grandfather of Katelynn, Alex, Jack and Madison.
