Obituary of Mary Elizabeth Roth

Mary Elizabeth Roth, 80 Mary Elizabeth Roth (nee O'Hara),80, of West Orange passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 from 4 to 8 PM at The Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main Street in West Orange. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1 Eagle Rock Ave. in West Orange. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum in East Hanover. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Mary's name to; The Dean Michael Clarizio Cancer Foundation, 10 Connel Drive, West Orange NJ, 07052. Mary was a lifelong resident of West Orange. She worked for the County of Essex in Payroll Data Processing for the County for 27 years. A member of the Frank O'Hara Association of West Orange, Vice President of the West Orange Democratic Committee, a daily communicant at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, and the 1995 Deputy Grand Marshal of the West Orange Saint Patrick's Day Parade. Mary's motto was "I'm not a joiner, I just do things". If you ever found a hot Irish Soda Bread at your door, you knew who was behind it. She was truly a selfless woman dedicated to her faith and family. Mary was the beloved wife of the late Edward Roth. Devoted mother of Mary Martin, Patty Ann Madden and her husband John, Eileen Minogue and her husband Michael, Sheila Parisi and her husband Robert, and Christine Mulligan and her husband Brian. Loving sister of Edward O'Hara and his wife Jackie, Joseph O'Hara, Kathleen Kenah and her husband Rich, Ann O'Neill, Thomas O'Hara and his wife Patti, and the late Patrick, Frank and Michael O'Hara. Loving sister-in-law of Margaret O'Hara and Lydia O'Hara. Cherished grandmother of Tommy, Justin, Matthew, Dylan Michael, AnnMarie, Ryan, Declan, Kelly, Robert, Annie, Kathleen, and Patrick. She is also survived by 6 great grandchildren.
