Obituary of Thomas Patrick O'Neill

Thomas Patrick O'Neill, 65 Thomas Patrick O'Neill, 65, of West Orange passed away on Monday July 17, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Visitation will be held on Friday July 21, 2017 from 3 to 7 PM at The Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main Street in West Orange. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Thomas' name to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation, NPCF, PO Box 1848, Longmont, CO 80502. Letters of condolence may be posted at danglerfuneralhome.com. A funeral Mass will be offered on Saturday July 22, 2017 at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1 Eagle Rock Ave. in West Orange. Cremation will be private. Thomas was born and raised in East Orange moving to West Orange as a teenager. He was a Railroad Electrician working for NJ Transit, Erie Lackawanna and Conrail for 40 years. Thomas was a member of IBEW Local 604. Thomas was the son of the late Anna Elizabeth O'Neill (nee Ford) and Francis Joseph O'Neill. Beloved husband of Elaine O'Neill (nee Dooley). Devoted father of Jennifer Gentile and her husband Tony, Colleen O'Neill and Patrick O'Neill. Loving brother of John O'Neill, Peggy Russo, Anne Natusch, Mary McCoy, and the late Sheila Tierney and Peter O'Neill. Cherished grandfather of Sean, he is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
