In Loving Memory of Charles Glenn Shaw, Sr.

Charles Glenn Shaw, Sr., passed away peacefully on July 31, 2026, surrounded by the warmth and love of his family.

Born in 1954 in the Vailsburg section of Newark, New Jersey, Charles went on to settle in West Orange, where he dedicated many years of hard work and service to the West Orange Township Department of Public Works (DPW). Upon his retirement, he moved to Little Egg Harbor to enjoy a well-earned new chapter of life. In his retirement years, Charles found his greatest happiness out on the water boating and fishing, and above all, making memories and spending quality time with his family.

Charles was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sherry Shaw, and his cherished son, Charlie. Though he bore the weight of their loss, his heart remained full of love for the family that surrounded him.

In his later years, Charles found joy and companionship alongside his devoted fiancée, Bobbi Bennett, with whom he shared many wonderful moments.

He was a proud and loving father to his three daughters, Kimberly, Christina, and Angela. His legacy continues to live on through his six adored grandchildren—Tyler, Ryan, Brianna, Sarah, Madison, and Jacob—each of whom brought endless pride and happiness to his life. Charles is also survived by his dear sister, Vivian, and his brothers, Michael and Jimmy, along with many extended family members and friends.

Charles will be deeply missed for his steady presence, his love of the outdoors, and his unwavering devotion to those he loved.

May he rest in peace, reunited with those who went before him and forever held in the hearts of those who remain.
