Rosemarie McGeough Obituary

Rosemarie (Rose) McGeough, aged 61 and a resident of West Orange, N.J., passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2025. Visitation will take place on Sunday November 30, 2025, from 2 to 6 p.m. at Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main Street.   Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, December 1, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1 Eagle Rock Ave., West Orange.

Rose was born in Orange, grew up and spent her life in West Orange. She attended Our Lady of Lourdes school, graduated from West Orange Mountain High School, and later earned her degree from William Paterson University.

Rose dedicated her career to working with children at various day care centers, including Y’s Owls/Richard Blake Childcare Center in Morris Plains, NJ, where she worked for 31 years and taught the children of former students.  Supporting and nurturing children was always her greatest passion. She enjoyed watching Hallmark movies, listening to country music, sunflowers and butterflies.

She was the beloved daughter of the late Tom and Nora; cherished sister of Noreen McGeough, Tommy McGeough and his wife, Allyson; and the late Mary Anne Tuite and Patrick John McGeough. Rose was a treasured aunt to Tom and his partner Chantell, Katrina and her husband Adam, John and his partner Natalie, Janey and her partner Cesar, Liam and his wife Jessica, Tyler, and Evan, and great nieces Sophia Rose, Kiera Maryanne and Athena Olivia. She is also survived by many relatives and friends across the United States, Canada, and Ireland.

The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations honoring Rose may be made to the Breakthrough T1D(breakthrought1d.org) or St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital(stjude.org).
