Samantha Marie Close, beloved sister, daughter, and friend left this world on October 13th, 2025 at the age of 34. She was born on May 25th, 1991 in West Orange, New Jersey to Eric Close and Debora Close where she was raised by two loving parents and siblings.
Professionally she spent her life in the beauty field excelling with makeup, skin care, eye lashes and jewelry. She was great at what she did making a lasting impression on all her clients. But it was not just a lasting impression with her craft, she also imprinted a lasting impression on all of us with her personality. No one could forget her after meeting her.
She had a passion for animals and created deep ties to her pets. Her current dog, Billy, was a rescue that she transformed from a troubled dog into a great beloved family pet whom she loved dearly.
She loved her family very much and greatly enjoyed family get togethers. Thanksgiving and especially Christmas were cherished events she always looked forward to. Whether it was spoiling her younger cousins, going over the top on decorations, or just having the family together, she greatly venerated these things.
She is survived by her loving father, Eric Close, and loving siblings, Dominique Close and her husband Derek Miller, and Andrew Close and his wife Alessandra Barlocco who will miss her very much.
Samantha will be remembered for her unique personality that drew people towards her. She had an ability to make everyone laugh like no other. Beneath her tough exterior she had a soft heart for her family and friends that we appreciated.
A wake will be held Saturday, October 18th, 2:00-5:00 p.m. at Dangler Funeral Home at 304 Main street in West Orange, New Jersey, 07052 for family and friends to pay their respects.
Rest in peace dear sister.
