Virginia “Ginny” Dynan passed away peacefully on Monday, October 13, 2025.


Born in Orange, Virginia was a lifelong resident of West Orange, where she touched the lives of many with her warmth and generosity.


Virginia “Ginny” Dynan was a devoted mother and beloved grandmother, cherished by her family and friends. She was known for her exceptional talent as a seamstress, creating beautiful garments and treasured keepsakes that will be remembered for generations. Her warmth, generosity, and creative spirit touched the lives of everyone who knew her.


She was the manager of the Degnan House in West Orange for many years, upon retirement she served on the Board of Directors of the Degnan House, and a member of the West Orange Seniors.


Virginia was the beloved wife of the late William Dynan.  Ginny is survived by her son Alan, daughter in law Deborah, their sons Nicholas and John. She was predeceased by her son Robert, and is survived by his wife Deborah and their children, Sean and Carly. Loving sister of David Zimnick, sisters; Nancy Wilson and Judy Petrone. 


Funeral Services were private. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name can be made to the Holy Trinity – West Orange Food Pantry, 315 Main Street, West Orange NJ 07052.
