Fr. Bill was a weekend assistant at my church in Verona.
I will always remember him during the second Sunday of Easter.
He always enjoyed the Gospel of Doubting Thomas.
Blessed are those who don’t see and still believe.
Now his favorite Gospel is mine.
Thank you Fr. Bill I will remember you forever.

Father Bill taught two of my sons at The Prep. He, along with Monsignor Kelly and Father Bradley, was truly a "priest's priest. In any encounter with him, I felt the presence of Christ through Father Bill's kindness, humility, and warmth. He exemplified the kind of person every Christian should strive to be.May this good and faithful servant live eternally in the presence of Our Lord.

It's so difficult to realize that we will no longer be a phone call away from each other. We will miss your kindness, caring and gentle voice as we chat about family history, recall memories about Buster and Edie and solve problems. From Heaven we will continue to ask your intercession for those in need. You are remembered and loved. Thank God you are an important person in our family.

Bill was my cousin. He wrote this poem in a letter to my mother when he was in the seminary.
I see His Blood Upon the Rose by Joseph Plunkett
I see his blood upon the rose
And in the stars the glory of his eyes,
His body gleams amid eternal snows,
His tears fall from the skies.
I see his face in every flower;
The thunder and the singing of the birds
Are but his voice—and carven by his power
Rocks are his written words.
All pathways by his feet are worn,
His strong heart stirs the ever-beating sea,
His crown of thorns is twined with every thorn,
His cross is every tree.

Father Bill was a classmate of mine at Immaculate Conception High School in Montclair and we worked on the school newspaper "The Clarion" together. Father Bill never changed, he was always kind and considerate to everyone. He will be sorely missed by all. Rest in Peace Father Bill.

Bill was always a gentle speaking friend. He was truly a compassionate priest. Dedicated to the service of Church and to his dear family. May the Lord reward him, abundantly for his many years of service. God love him and now see the Lord face to face.
I recall and happy memories of the St. Francis Xavier parish days, when Bill was a seminarian there and celebrated his first solemn Mass.

While my wife Rosalie and I never met Father Bill, his brother Nick was a good friend and neighbor and spoke lovingly of Father Bill often. May they join again in Heaven.
