Stephen J. Fitzpatrick, 75

Stephen Joseph Fitzpatrick, 75, of Glen Ridge, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on September 27, 2024 at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston. Born in Orange, New Jersey. Stephen was the beloved husband of his high school sweetheart Deborah Flammer Fitzpatrick for 53 years.

In addition to his wife, Stephen is survived by his son Sean; his daughter Meghan Fitzpatrick Birkheimer; his five beloved grandchildren Garrett, Grady, Abigail, Freddie and Liam; and his sister Joanne Kucisnki. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Rose and his brother Michael.

Stephen’s passion for bowling, baseball and the Yankees was evident to all who knew him, and he often shared his talents and enthusiasm with those around him. He also loved spending the summers at the Jersey Shore, enjoying days reading on the beach with friends and watching the sunset at the Lavallette Yacht Club.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at a visitation on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Dangler Funeral in West Orange, New Jersey. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11:00 on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at St. Peter Claver Church in Montclair, New Jersey. Internment will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Yogi Berra Museum and Learning Center, Little Falls, New Jersey.
