Beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Achilleus Fitanidis passed away on June 25th, 2024 at 84 years young surrounded by his adoring family.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00pm on Thursday, June 27th 2024 at Ss. Nicholas, Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 80 Laurel Avenue, Roseland, NJ.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, June 28th 2024 at Ss. Nicholas, Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church.

Private burial to follow.

Achilleus was born in Constantinople of proud Greek heritage moving to the United States to study for his Masters at Columbia University as an Electrical and Mechanical Engineer. Achilleus enjoyed recounting stories of his life and spending time with his family and friends.  His zest for life was infectious. His intellect was to be admired and he loved sharing his vast knowledge of world history.

He is now surrounded by the beautiful beaches of Greece as was his dream.

He is survived by his loving wife Rita Fitanidis, his son Telly and wife Zoe, his daughter Catherine and husband Michael, his grandchildren Sydney, Nicholas, Arianna, Alexander , Christopher and Angelina and his sister Anna Razi.
