 Mary T. Peer, 88

Mary T. Peer, (nee Sherry), 88, of Toms River passed away on Monday, June 11, 2019.

Visiting will be held on Monday June 17, 2019 at The Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main St. in West Orange from 9:00 to 10:30 AM. 

A Funeral Mass will be offered on Monday, June 17, 2019 at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1 Eagle Rock Ave., West Orange at 11:00 AM.  Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary’s name to; The Alzheimer’s Association Greater New Jersey Chapter, 23 Vreeland Road Suite 105 Florham Park, NJ 07932. Mary was born in Montclair, grew up in West Orange, and lived in Scranton, before moving to Toms River. She was a Clerk for the Township of West Orange. Mary was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church, the Scranton Volunteer F.D. (P.A.) Ladies Auxiliary. She was a volunteer for Aids awareness in Scranton, Girl Scout leader in West Orange, and the West Orange Rotary. Mary avidly enjoyed crocheting.

Mary was predeceased by three children, Donald II, Dennis, and Sherry. Mary was the beloved wife of 69 years to Donald Charles Peer; devoted mother of Maureen Stewart (Lawrence), Michael (Karen), and William Peer; loving sister of Agnes Balsamo; and cherished grandmother of 13 and great- grandmother of 11. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
