Evie Marie Alexis, of Orange, passed away on Sunday July 22, 2018.

Visiting will be held on Saturday July 28, 2018 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at The Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main Street.   Letters of condolence may be posted at danglerfuneralhome.com.

A Funeral Mass will be offered on Saturday July 28, 2018 at 11:30 AM at St. John’s Church, Ridge Street in Orange.  Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover.      

Evie was born and raised in Port Au Prince, Haiti before moving to the United States in 1975. She was a secretary working for an Engineering Firm for the Government of Haiti.  

Evie was the devoted mother of Nicole Mondesir Lahens and her husband Raymond, Marise Mondesir, Hermann Mondesir and his wife Jeanne, Carole Mondesir Dareus and her husband Daniel, Patrick Monjuste and his wife Pascale, and the late Jean Robert Mondesir. Mother in law of Yanick Servere Mondesir.  Cherished grandmother of Rodney Mondesir, Jack Robert Mondesir, Diana Mondesir, Raymond Lahens, Jeffrey Lahens, Carina Lahens Fils Julien, Stephane Jarbath, Patrice Jarbath, Marie Nella Jarbath Kercy, Giovanny Mondesir, Carol-Ann Mondesir, Omar Monjuste, Joshua Monjuste, Laurie Romain, and Fabrice Romain. Loving Aunt of Frantz Jean Louis, Bernadette Jean Louis, Mireille Jean Louis, Carmel Jean Louis, Andre Jean Louis, Marie Andre Hyacinth, and Marie Rene Sanon.
