We are so very sorry for the loss of your beautiful and caring Mama Betty. Sending our deepest condolences and prayers to the family. She was such a thrill to be around and an amazing chef! Her Manicotti was my favorite. Thank you Sharon and Phil for sharing her with us. Let gentle reminders of Mom may bring you peace.

We have most certainly lost a kind, thoughtful soul who, to my memory, had never a harsh or negative word about anyone. She had an unfortunate demise after five years of care for her fatal problem, yet was always kind, gracious and calm to all.
Her premise will be missed, but not the memory of this gift of heaven.
Love and empathy from Bert & Gerda

My first and only memory of Mrs. Miraballe was from a few months ago when I arrived at work one morning to find her sitting quietly in an empty office while her daughter and my co-worker Sharon was doing what she had evidently done for the last few years which was juggling her work duties and a total dedication to her mother's care.
This morning was apparently no different as Mrs. Miraballe had either no aide to supervise her that day or an appointment with a specialist at the end of Sharon's shift, I can't readily recall.
What I do recall however was that despite fighting this merciless disease, the strength and tenacity in Mrs. Miraballe's voice, when she did speak, was reminiscent of the strong and perhaps even stubbornly focused lady this still feisty and spunky woman had been - and obviously passed along to those that now cared for her.
Struggling with my own personal family issues during that same time, I empathized with Sharon and could only offer a reminder that I had myself reflected upon during seemingly endless ordeals. "No hay mal que dure cien anos, ni corazon que lo aguante."
So now that this struggle has come to an end it is time for both her and her family to rest but not without forgetting that perhaps the best inheritance a parent can leave for their child is the passion for life and a reminder of living it to the fullest.
My deepest condolences to those she has left behind, and may you find solace in memories of happier days you shared.
Respectfully,
Edwin Abrew
