Margaret Bridget “Peggy” Brennan, 85

Margaret Bridget “Peggy” Brennan, (nee Keenan ),85, of West Caldwell, formerly of West Orange, passed away surrounded by her loving family.

Visiting will be held on Thursday June 7, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at The Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main Street in West Orange.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Peggy’s name to Atlantic Hospice , 465 South Street, Suite 100, Morristown, NJ 07960.

A Funeral Mass will be offered on Friday June 8, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1 Eagle Rock Ave. in West Orange. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 225 Ridgedale Ave. in East Hanover. 

Peggy was born in Dunmore, County Galway Ireland, moving to Newark, then to West Orange where she raised her family, before moving to West Caldwell a few years ago. She worked as a secretary for Prudential Insurance.  Peggy was a member of the Irish American Society of the Oranges, the Giblin Association, and the Rosary Altar Society of Our Lady of Lourdes Church. Peggy was the Deputy Grand Marshall of the 2002 West Orange Saint Patrick’s Day Parade.

Peggy was the beloved wife of the late John Joseph Brennan.  Devoted mother of John Brennan and his wife Maria, Eileen Blanchette and her husband Scott. Loving sister of Mary Flaherty, Evelyn Sharkey, Sheila Donnellan, John Keenan, Thomas Keenan, and the late Martin Keenan.  Cherished grandmother of John, Kayla, and Jacqueline Brennan, Connor, and Morgan Blanchette.
